Agreed, I just got one too. I didn't do any comparison shopping so I don't know how much better the expensive ones are, but I knew I wasn't about to spend the $300 the LBS wanted for what they carry. I didn't even have them take it out for a look after hearing that price. If I had twins and needed a stroller this would even be a good deal for that!

Difference between a sub $100 trailer vs. a $300 trailer?

The cheaper trailers are not as sturdy. But sturdy enough. The biggest thing is the connection. Most of the cheaper ones require that you to connect a part behind the quick release skewer of you bike. Worse, if you don't have quick release you need a wrench to connect the thing. The more expensive ones require no tools at all. Do I think they are worth it? Hell NO! First of all, the casual rider will not use it more than 20 time total (and 20 is a generous number). Secondly, It makes no difference to the kids. But I would never connect the cheaper ones to a $900 road bike though. The trailer will only see my cheaper MTB.
