what do you think would be the most important part to upgrade on a 03 giant iguana( besides the fork)

I checked the website for specs. Wouldn't hurt at all to upgrade the fork. The Deore components are fairly good but there's always Deore LX, xt, or xtr. Maybe a better crankset (raceface, shimano, etc)? I've never heard anyone complain about Avid brakes, so you're probably good there unless you want discs. I'm not familiar with the rims, but that doesn't mean anything. You can probably save a respectable amount of weight with higher end rims. I think Hutchinson Mosquito tires are decent. The pedals are half plastic, but that's a matter of taste unless you think you might break them. You could also go clipless.
And then there's comfort (really important I think). Make sure the seat is comfortable, as well as your handle bars, grips, and stem length.
Sorry I wasn't very specific, maybe you could pick a particular part from that long list and some of the really experienced guys here can tell you what they like.

i already upgraded the fork to a bomber mx comp 105mm travel. and i have time atac allium pedals

Not to be harsh, but I wouldn't change another thing! Go ride the thing, and upgrade whatever breaks! That bike is pretty good as it is, with that fork. Go Ride it, break it, buy a better replacement part!
Now, if you've got money to spend, I'll send you my address and you can mail me a check! ha ha!

Yeah... I've got to agree there. Don't upgrade, ride, break what you've got, and then buy new parts... Otherwise it's a complete waste of parts right? SO you might get a better ride off the new one, but it won't be THAT much better I assure you. If you wish, ride hard... smash the hell out of what you've got. THEN go for the upgrade.

Yeah... I've got to agree there. Don't upgrade, ride, break what you've got, and then buy new parts... Otherwise it's a complete waste of parts right? SO you might get a better ride off the new one, but it won't be THAT much better I assure you. If you wish, ride hard... smash the hell out of what you've got. THEN go for the upgrade.
