Is this mirror too Fred-ish? It is nice and small, removable, stable and actually works OK. But if it is too Fred, then it'll have to go! :D

If it works for you cool. I perfer a helmet mirror as I can move it to see more. Baseline is stay safe! Use what works for you! Who cares what others like.

You don't need our approval to keep it on your bike.

...but I thought for sure that it would be Fred ;) . Actually looks like it may work better though. But I had a problem with hand positions when I tried it on a bike at the LBS. Felt uncomfortable with it on.

Someone I ride with has this mirror it works for him.....but he is 65 years old.......

What's even more Fred (and suicidal) is swerving into traffic if you haven't learned to ride a straight line while looking behind you. So if you need a mirror, get one.

Hey Pete, I got the top one and it works great. I don't have a problem with how people perceive how I look. I guess sarcasm is difficult to convey over the forums :p . I like nice stuff but but like functional stuff more.

Ya never know--there are some who actually would take that mirror off because of someone's opinion on this forum...

Too Fred, I have one like the post #2, picture. www.italianracingmirror.com although unless post #2 picture is backwards, I have mine mounted on the traffic side of the bike.

Maybe the that mirror IS on the traffic side. Perhaps England or some other bass-ackwards country ;) :D ...

it looks stupid, but it also looks removeable

use it for commuting and solo rides and then you can take it off when you ride with a group (which is why I assume your asking)

removeable is the key

hope this helps (just bein' honest--and like I said you can take it off when you need to)

I was catching a lot of flak over having a mirror attached to my sunglasses, but I think it's important to see what's behind me. What did I do? I turned the helmet-cam backwards so it points to the rear and view everything on a wireless 7" LCD monitor attached to my handlebar.

We share the road with inattentive, cell phone-gabbing soccer moms (and dads), and we need every advantage we can get. Use whatever works best for you, and don't worry about what other people think.

These Italian bar-end mirrors work well and they are available on the internet and on ebay. Ignore the tacky bar tape, I use black tape and the mirror is really inconspicuous.

I KNOW what "Fred" is... just seeing who thinks it looks that way. I have no problem of having a bit-o-Fred in me. Fred loves to ride like the rest of us :D .

if i was in the market for a mirror, that'd be the last one i'd want.

imagine getting into a crash, and having that on your bike. can you say puncture wound? :)
