I spent the better part of yesterday spinning around Albuquerque on my bike and at the end of the day my upper body looked like a lobster. The funny thing is that I did not feel drained like I normally do when exposed to too much sun. When living in the desert it pays to remember the sunscreen.

Well, these days, you can live in a place that's mostly cloudy and still need sunscreen. Sunscreen is important for preventing skin cancer- so don't just think sun= sunscreen. Anytime you go out, you should have sunscreen. If you think of it that way, you never forget to put it on! :)

+1 on long sleeve jerseys.
I dont put sunscreen on the upper part of my face, as I dont want it running into my eyes. I rely on the sunglasses and helmet to protect that area. Had a check up at the dermatologist last Thurs and everything is OK for now.

Being a bald man who hates hats, I pretty much put sunscreen on whenever I leave the house after a certain time of day.
I have one bottle at work and another at home.

+1...I just got back from vacation on the Gulf Coast, and that is the only time I use sunscreen as well.

SpiderMike and I rode a few hours around Houston yesterday, and I didn't wear any sunscreen. Pale skin + sleeveless jersey + summer in Houston = OUCH. My arms are in pain today.

I need to learn my lesson. :)

I usually ride sans shirt and sans sunscreen. Then again, I am of a dark complexion (Mexican).

I live on the edge...
