What does everyone use to clean their bikes?

Can I just hose down the whole bike with soap and water?

My front brakes are squeaking when not in use...is this normal?

Do I need to lube the forks?

Thanks everyone.

100% the same as mine that i got a couple of months ago, great bike, easy to cycle up hills and takes a huge beating... (by my standards anyway :))

scrap the pedals tho :D
