Mountain Biking - How do you move the outer pad (the one the moves) on BB5s?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Well my hand is healing faster than expected and I might be able to ride sooner than I can take my bike to my LBS and I was wondering if I could fix the brake issue on my bike myself... well the problem is the rotor is rubbing on the outer pad and its making a horrible screeching noise and also threw my brake setup out of proportion, so how do I do it?
Man, why couldn't specialized just put BB7s on this damn thing or why did Avid even make the BB5 if they were going to nerf it like that.

Unbolt the cable and move the arm to a different place and tighten the bolt back up.

Did you try realigning it? Are you sure the rotor isn't bent?
Fixed it, turns out the housing got thrown out of the barrel in the crash and pulled the cable, bringing the outer pad closer, well, I feel stupid not seeing that earlier but its fine now.
Heh my hand is better than I thought, I was able to lurch once lol, its swollen though and hurts when I twist it.
