just had to share...
the megabus, (www.megabus.com/) which we all cursed for the "no bikes" policy, happily took my completely built, unboxed bike this weekend. in fact, the woman that opened the cargo door on the bus for me said, "yeah, a bus came up on this run, too!"
now, this doesn't mean that every driver of every bus will be as accomodating. but i'd say try it, act like it's perfectly normal an acceptable, and if all else fails, carry some cash for bribing the driver.
$10 RT to milwaukee is faaaar cheaper than driving. And I'll be loading my touring rig onto the megabus to minneapolis in a week. woo hoo!
