O.K. Besides, bikes, dolphins, women, greyhounds and music...I don't giddy over too many things. :p;) But a Quizno's Sandwich Shop opened today about a block and a half away from my house. OMG!!! I used to go to one in the town I lived in like 10 years ago, but there have been no Quizno's near where I live until now!!! :D I frickin' love them! Subway has nothing on a fresh hot toasted Quizno's sub with that awesome bread and tons of savory meat, cheese, onions, real lettuce.....dam!!! I wanna run out and get another one and it's like 9:45 pm!! hee hee. I'm so happy!:D

Any other Quizno's fans here in FOO? Maybe these are common in other parts of the country, but not around southern NEw England.

Their meatball sub I had one time was pretty atrotious not going to lie.

The concept behind the toasted sub is good...but the food doesnt live up the the toasted...

I'm a big fan of the Mesquite Chicken, and the Classic Italian (minus olives, add ranch)

Quizno's is by far the best sub place where i live.

Chubway's toasted subs are crap compared to Quiznos.

I love Quiznos. Just ate a 6" veggie sandwich on wheat there today and got a strawberry/banana smoothie from the Smoothie King next door to drink. Yum!

Quizno's rocks! I love their Dbl Bacon BLT w/ chipolte mayo. I've also had a couple of their new Chopped Salads recently (the ones you eat with a REAL fork) and they're damn good too.

I live in South Philly, and 10 years ago I would have said we piss from a great height on these chain stores (name one...). Today, however, the hoagies down here have degenerated to the point where there are the mediocre ones on one hand, and the look-how-big-we-can-make-ours ones on the other hand. No one is making a really good, NORMAL SIZE hoagie anymore, so Quiznos/Subway have earned their keep. *sobs pathetically*

At least with pizza, City Pizza on Front and Oregon DOES piss from a great height on the chains, AND the mediocre little mom&pops. They rock my world. :D

Never experienced Quizno's before, but it was exciting to discover the cafe at my university here that serves decent toasted bagel sandwiches. The bread I get at my supermarket is the best I've found for home (no bakeries anywhere near my area), but it still tastes like it's made from sawdust. Two things I miss dearly are good bread and deodorant.

Ah....Quiznos. Methinks I will have to try a different sub there tonight. Fresh, hot, toasty......ummmmmmm! BTW this Quiznos has a smoothie machine/center inside it.

Subway > Quizno's, but still not bad. Seems like I end up at Quizno's every time I'm at an airport.

It's possible that my statement should be rewritten as Subway > Airport Quizno's since that is where most of my Quizno's experience comes from. Maybe your sandwich artist isn't as good as mine. :D

Overpriced stuff :p I ate at subways every other day for almost a month only because somebody else was paying.

I don't plan to eat there every day! I'm just glad that a good sub shop opened so close!:D And Shadiya pointed out they make really good salads in several varieties that are far better than the Subway offerrings.;)

I used to love the little "Furbats" I think they called them? In the older Quiznos Sub commercials. "We love Quizno's subs...cause they toasty and there tastey and we love them. Like the Moon....." :D

Yes...I've lost it. Call the guys with the white coats!:p

Since the other one is useless for air, you should have gills installed. Then you could go for a swim too! :)

Firehouse subs are better than quiznos
quiznos is better than subway and other lesser sub joints.

I think Firehouse is a Florida thing....kinda pricey, but the quality is just incredible.

Ahhh...O.K. now that makes more sense. Never heard of Firehouse BTW. And I've been to Flordia. But I'll be on the lookout next time I'm down there.

Quiz-NO's. I like the idea of toasted but the bread doesn't measure up. Too light and insubstantial.

Huh?? Their bread is one of the reasons they kick suckways *ss. I'm wondering how they make the bread in your area. No offense.:)

I had my first Quiznos sub 2 days ago. Once I got past the sweat dripping down from the server's face I actually found the sub to be excellent. Without me asking, he explained that his sweat was from the toasting oven that they decided should be located directly beside the cash register. I was watching very closely to make sure the sweat drips didn't hit the sub. There were a few moments there when my wife distracted me so I can't be sure .... Can't say I'll be in a hurry to go back to that particular Quiznos, however I will look for one that doesn't have the toaster oven too close to the food prep area or the register.

Huh?? Their bread is one of the reasons they kick suckways *ss. I'm wondering how they make the bread in your area. No offense.:)My favorite in the San Jose, CA area -- other than an independent market called Byrne's Market that makes a decent Italian sub -- is Le Boulanger, followed by Togo's. Subway isn't even on my radar screen, thank you very much. Neither of them competes with The Italian Store in Arlington, VA. Boy, do I miss their Italian subs!

P.S. I like a crisp, chewy crust

I had a cuban sandwich for lunch. Can't get that at Quiznos. Can't get banh mi's at Quiznos either. Cubans & Vietnamese > Quiznos.

I totally relate to your excitement over a new shop opening up near to home. A Tully's coffee shop just opened half a block from my house and its very nice looking. Beats the grocery store Starbucks!!!

Great way to wrap up a long ride is stopping by Quiznos. :D Thats a great motivation!
