Can someone tell me how to MARK multiple (>2) points on an online map without drawing route lines between them? I'd like to mark up and key a map for a non-bike-related project that I'm working on.

Usually, you just double-click along the road you want to use following the contours of the road. In a curve, you may need to use many clicks to follow the curve. This is the way gmap-pedometer works or other applications based on it. Also, Microsoft's mapping software is the same way.

Not for sure what you are tring to do. Copy and paste the map into Word or PowerPoint or somethinga and use the draw menu to put you map together. Then save it or paste as pic so it all stays together.

Basically, I think you got it. I'm trying to take a map, and put visual indicators on several different locations.

Thanks for the tip. I guess I'll go the band-aid route.

download google earth if you haven't already (trust me, you will be so psyched that you did it), then use the "measure" tool and draw a path. You can click at every point you need to make a turn and it will tell youhow many miles total.

That's the way to do it. You can even get real fancy with Google Earth and publish maps or locations digitally and post them for people to download.
