Commuting - L.A. bicycle film fest...

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

So who's commuting there? I'm going to ride my single speed... going deep under cover.

I read it from the midnight ridazz newsletter, too busy to come though. Have fun!

Going to have to miss it this year :(. I went last year with another local cycling buddy. We made a day of it and rode out to Hollywood from Redlands. He on his roadie commuter, me on my fixed-gear. We split ways after the show. Whereupon, I went to stay with a friend of mine in Echo Park, and he crashed at his friend's house in Pasadena. Without really planning it, we ended up on the same metro train back the next day.
To add to the anti-car theme of the weekend, the guy I rode down there with has a friend (Same one he stayed with in Pasadena.), who reconstructs car crashes for a living. We stopped on the way out there and checked out his giant warehouse in Irwindale (For you SoCal denizens, it's right down by the big Budweiser (Or is it Miller? I dunno, I don't drink that watery crap.) brewery off the 210.) full of mangled cars. A new arrival was being delivered as we arrived. Somewhere there's a picture of me standing next to the burned out husk of a van on the back of a flatbed while pointing at the "Cars-R-Coffins" sticker on my bag ;).
Unfortunately, I won't be able to make it this year. Prior commitments. :(
