I'm thinking of using it for my SS road bike commuter. I'll want to carry lunch, change of clothes, lock, wallet, keys. I'm thinking I'll leave the bag on the bike all the time. Just pack stuff in a plastic grocery bag and stuff the whole thing in the seat bag. Pull the whole lot out at once when I get to work.

My roomate uses that big Jandd bag and seems pretty happy with it. He commutes once a week or so for about 2 miles and gets a spare t-shirt and his lunch in it.

I use a Carradice Nelson long flap, after using assorted panniers, rack packs, and love it. Big enough for my commuting load, shirt, pants, shoes, lunch, tools, spare tube, rain jacket, or the occasional grocery run. Very stable, even when I foget to fasten the buckles won't spill the load. Not sure what you have to haul, but the Jandd doesn't seem to be very big. I'd make sure your stuff fits before getting it. Not sure how high your saddle is, but the bag bottom dragging on the tire/fender might also be a concern, also there doesn't seem to be a lot of form support. If you have a heavy item it might make that problem worse.
The Carradice bags, and the Rivendell Baggins bags, require a saddle with bag loops like a Brooks, but there are adapters for plastic saddles out there to be had. Good luck.

I withdraw my use of the adjective "humongous" in reference to the Jandd bag. :)

Edit: Well, I just ordered the Jandd seat bag. It's the largest one they make, but nowhere near as big as some of the Rivendale or Carradice bags. "Porter, please bring my seat bag around front to the bike rack." :lol:

I had to order it without seeing one. I have given up on finding them in stores around here.
