i broke the top off a presta valve. which wasn't too annoying until i tried to pump the tyre up again and the pin in the center fell into the tyre.
so that tyre's a write-off now.
grrrr.
lesson learnt.
so my question is:
does anyone know of any cheap [<£30], 650c tubular tyres with removable valve cores? [preferably with butyl tubes]

You can get them from here:

Every pair of Conti sprinters I have ever glued had removable valve cores.
I know that they're available in 650c size.

[before this post i was eyeing up the tufo's, i was just checking if anyonehad any other suggestions.]

about a week ago i got a tufo jet 26" [and an s22 for the rear] from sjs cycles (http://www.sjscycles.co.uk/product-Tufo-Tufo-Jet-Pro-26-295gm-650-x-19mm-Triathlon-Tubular-tyre--Red-Black-10703.htm), and i must say i'm very impressed.
way more grippy in the corners than vittoria rallies. i can just tip the bike into corners now with no worries of it sliding out from under me. and they make a really cool noise that i can't really describe....
woo!
