Foo - Horrible first impression with neighbors...

Yeah well my gf and I are moving into this little apartment on the first floor of a brownstone. I'm just here waiting for the furniture to be delivered by myself. Anyway...

In the back is a yard with a balcony and staircase going up to it from the back right. So I walk out the door and BAM, it locks shut behind me, ACK! I had to go up to the balcony, climb into the neighor's balcony, knock on his door, and ask him to let me through back around. What a great way to start the day...

Ha HA I had that happen to me at a hotel once. I had just gotten off the road tired as hell and check into my hotel and noticed the balcony. I was thrilled of the idea of sitting on the balcony which overlooked a beautiful wooded area and relaxing with a glass of water. I went out and the door slammed shut and locked behind me. needless to say I was pissed. I had my card key but this key was a standard lock different from the main door, who the hell would design such a place? I tried all sorts of ways to pick the lock. After about an hour of waiting for someone to come by I finally shimmied down the poll to the sidewalk below.

That's nothing a six pack of beer can't fix. Ice it down, present it to your neighbor, and knock a few back on that balcony.

This story would've been so much better if it was a "she" that let you back in.

If I were you slvoid...I'd dress up like your avatar and walk around the back yard snapping the glove on the hand and going "Here buster! Here buster! Time for your rectal exam." The neighbors will always give you plenty of room around the building. And you'll never have to worry about them having a dog (or having one that barks a lot!:eek: :p

On the bright side, the sofa, tv center, bed and mattress are in. Now I'm just waiting for the tv...

Yea slvoid.... pictures of you glowing bottom would be a great ice breaker. Ask this former Marine if he knows what "psychological situps" are. He'll either look at you real funny or burst out laughing at the fact that you mentioned them.;) IF he doesn't know what they are....he probably wasn't in the Marines.

Don't worry, my neighbors call the cops on me all the time. Get used to it... ;)
