i'm not a fan of the gold per se, but this one's twenty times nicer than the nagasawa.

I think that is the bike that I told Ava if I ever saw it on the Street I would piss all over it.

At least that frame is gold.
The Nagasawa was reddish copper.

travis said that the frame is a le jeune that the dude had repainted.
so weird because i sold my le jeune a couple months ago and the guy who bought it said he wanted to put gold parts on it. he "already had gold campy bmx cranks".
im bummed cause my old paintjob was sick!

It's only disgusting because the seatpost and spokes aren't gold yet. Then it will beautiful.

with a gold seatpost, that bike would be so bling
At first I hated the stem color. Then I noticed it matches the saddle, and now i kinda like it.
I'd be much more impressed if someone who had a gold bike actually had all the parts annodized themselves so they at least match

ps> I just shook hands with a chrome GWP. It was actually really slick looking.

i can guarantee that this would still prove problematic based on the differences in the alloys used by the variety of manufacturers in their parts. The annodizing will still have slight variations in coloration based on this metallurgic differences. The only way to guarantee a solid match is to paint the parts. Which, I am sure juvi-kyle already has soemthing in the works...:)

Christ, this is getting out of control. Next time I scoop some pile from a garage sale for $10 I'm rattlecanning the whole damn thing gold and putting it on CL San Fran for $500. Heck, it's friday, I may do that tomorrow.
To be fair, though, the shades of gold/copper match up a lot better on this one than on the last uber-bling rig.

if you think thats a good idea you'll be in for some fun at the MnG.

i thought he did have the gold seatpost too? when you were building that first front wheel at freewheel and me and marc came in that dude was picking out parts and the bike was almost done... i coulda sworn he got a gold seatpost. oh well. that thing is overdone, but fun.
Look at that front tire clearance! That thing doesn't even work!
It might, my clearance is super tight, but it works just fine.

better post some pics when you're done!
When will this ridiculous obsession with all gold bikes end? Mike's gold Colnago should have the been the first and last bike to ever be degraded in such a vile manner. But...to each his own.

the great thing about this bike is even if somebody does piss all over it, you can't tell. It's effectively piss-proof.

Yep. I sold a non-gold Mirra a while ago that was setup the same way.
And that Mirra is fantabulous. THAT is what a gold bike should look like.

Mirra's BMX is actually gold plated, isn't it? That's the way to go. I'm not even sure it's more expensive than that ugly-as-sin Nagasawa...

Yeah, if you do grinds and stuff predominantly on the right side, you want left side drive.
