Books, Movies, Music & Entertainment - Top Three movies, you'd buy again if you ever lost them

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Limiting it to the top three to help make it a little easier, everyone has such a wide
taste in movies/music so it should be quite a list, but maybe some people have more
in common than we think ;)
My top three are;
The Princess Bride, (actually purchased my third version of this, darn double dipping :) )
Murder by Death, very funny movie...
Hopscotch, possibly a little known movie with Walter Matthau, very funny, have the Criterion release.
ok, I was torn by other choices but chose those, what are your top three?
G2
Fight Club - "mischief, mayhem, soap"
Auntie Mame - "Life is a banquet and most poor suckers are starving" (with Rosalind Russell, Forrest Tucker, Coral Browne, Peggy Cass and the actress who was Mrs Topper on television. Not to be confused with Lucy's "Mame" made about twenty years later.
The Tramp - with Charlie Chaplin
Love all 3 of your choices.
Matthau was the greatest. I own Buddy Buddy & 1st Monday in October(vhs of course)
I'm gonna skip my 2nd & 3rd choice since I have the CDs(they're musicals)
Princess Bride
White Christmas
Apollo 13

Ninja Scroll - I actually still have the VHS, but I bought the 10th anniversary DVD copy, too.
Pulp Fiction - Mostly 'cause I loaned out my VHS copy to a friend when I was in the Army stationed in Germany and never got it back. Still haven't picked up another copy....
The Good, The Bad And The Ugly - Love that movie! Think I might already be on my second copy, actually.

1 Highlander (silly premise but more than makes up for this by being beautiful and atmospheric with a great soundtrack)
2 Blackhawk down (slightly spoint by he jingoistic bits at the end but still must be one of the best war films)
3 Die Hard (what a blast)

Good variety of movies in the thread, as some mentioned, there are a LOT of great movies
so I know it's hard to boil it down to three, but, it does make you think and maybe push
play on those three again this week...

I also couldn't live without "Planes, Trains, and Automobiles." One of John Candy and Steve Martin's finest.
Car Rental Agent: Welcome to Marathon, may I help you?
Neal: Yes.
Car Rental Agent: How may I help you?
Neal: You can start by wiping that f-ing dumbass smile off your rosy f-ing cheeks! Then you can give me a f-ing automobile: a f-ing Datsun, a f-ing Toyota, a f-ing Mustang, a f-ing Buick! Four f-ing wheels and a seat!
Car Rental Agent: I really don't care for the way you're speaking to me.
Neal: And I really don't care for the way your company left me in the middle of f-ing nowhere with f-ing keys to a f-ing car that isn't f-ing there. And I really didn't care to f-ing walk down a f-ing highway and across a f-ing runway to get back here to have you smile at my f-ing face. I want a f-ing car RIGHT F-ING NOW!
Car Rental Agent: May I see your rental agreement.
Neal: I threw it away.
Car Rental Agent: Oh boy.
Neal: Oh boy what?
Car Rental Agent: You're f-ed!
--------------------------------------------------------
Del: You play with your balls a lot.
Neal: I do NOT play with my balls.
Del: Larry Bird doesn't do as much ball-handling in one night as you do in an hour!
Neal: Are you trying to start a fight?
Del: No. I'm simply stating a fact. That's all. You fidget with your nuts a lot.
Neal: You know what'd make me happy?
Del: Another couple of balls, and an extra set of fingers?

My list would be;
The Adventures of Robin Hood
The Big Lebowski
Pulp Fiction
Good thread. Some great movies on here which I love. True Grit, Caddyshack, Heat....
My third choice probably changes on a weekly basis. If you asked last week it may have been 'Star Wars', 'The Good the Bad and the Ugly' or 'Sexy Beast' depending on my mood.
This thread also reminds me that I have to kill the bastard who borrowed my 1987 world road championship video, never gave it back and moved to Tasmania.
