The time has come to buy my wife a GOOD bike. This is the lady that just rode her age (52 miles on my moutian bike).
Problem is short legs. measuring standover bearfoot, we get just shy of 70CM.
I know cannondale has a r700 in 40 or 44. Any other options?

Giant, in the OCR range do an XS frame that is a 42cm and there isa smaller one. They also do a womans frame aswell.
Don't know if it is available in US but the NEW giant range over here is SCR. I have just got a 42.5 SCR 3.0and I am short, but use a still smaller frame. Sometimes I think I must be deformed but attachment is of the 42,5 frame for a 29" inseam and short arms.

Currently the 2005 range seem to be on close out.

Check out Terry Bikes. They have kind of a cult following among short women. Everybody I have known who actually has one LOVES it.
