He's in yellow, but Landis is probably thinking that they shouldn't have given Periero 30 minutes back the other day.

Word. And it shows how strong T-Mobile is too. CSC and T-Mobile lost their best guys and still very strong. Disco lost their top guy, and they're crap now.

Hasn't Discovery won a stage and had the yellow jersey? They're certainly not strong this year, but most teams would be extremely happy with those results. Crap? Right.

I'm starting to think that Pereiro won't be as much of a thorn in Floyd's side as was predicted...

It amazes me how tight they can make the gaps. First Landis gets the yellow by 8 seconds, then by 10 seconds today.

That being said, I think I'd prefer it if they got rid of the radios. Then keep the support vehicles off the road. Maybe the DS and support teams can ride tandems or something for resupplying riders, but no barrelling up and down the mountain at 90kph through crowds in their Peugots... :)

Pereiro gets an A+ from me for not hanging out with Tom, I didnt think he would be anywhere in top 10.

Leipheimer continues to look very good as well. If not for his disastrous time trial, he'd be in tight contention for GC. I'll be looking forward to see how he does on the next TT when he's not sick.

After reading all of your posts in this thread I think I can safely say that you are a moron. When did Discovery ever say they were going to be dominate in this tour? Bruyneel said at the start they have no expectations. What happens, happens. Did you really expect anything else from Disco without Lance? Till they get Danielson dialed in this is what should be expected.

Why are people so worried about Pereiro? The only reason he is in the position he is in now is because they let him get that position.

Wow, just got back from my morning ride and caught the last bits. Sounds like it was a fantastic stage. Looking forward to the recap later today. Good to see Floyd back in yellow! Paul and Phil were saying something that for the last 18 Tours the person wearing yellow at L'Alpe d'Huez took it to Paris or something along those lines. It sure looks like Floyd can do it; I hope so!

So what happened to Boonen? Sucks he's out, I thought he had some hope for green but sure looks like Robbie's gonna run with that now.

This is a lot of fun to follow this year!

No he didn't. Hincapie did. I clearly remember this as -- I was all decked out in my Discovery jersey, LIVESTRONG hat, and a freshley tattoed LIVESTRONG armband still stinging on my wrist -- I was jumping for joy when George easily won the sprint by about five bike lengths, jumping so hard in fact that I slammed my head into the ceiling.

whatever buddy...... 95% of what I posted here was from the Tour site as it was happening, no analysis on my part here. Disco has been a terrible disappointment to themselves and their hype machine. I expected NOTHING from Disco, and got just that. Cept for Popo's break, that was a killer ride.

Hehe--Disco's fans are still wearing all of the old team leader's merchandise. No clinging going on here... :)

Thor Hushovd won the Prologue, Jimmy Casper won stage 1, and Robbie McEwen won stage 2. Hincapie never won a stage this year.

Poor Disco fans..... how far they've fallen now that they have no leader.
I hope the ratings are good for the race-to-replace. Nothing like having priorities in place, like furthering Lance's foundation AFTER he's retired. Not that it's a bad thing but maybe wait until the season is over possibly Disco still hasn't stopped workin' for Lance it seems.

Looks like the REAL winner of the race to replace will be whoever's left when the peloton rolls into Paris. That's the new team leader. :)

And if we can't win the TdF, we can definitely show them that we're the greastest at spelling...

What does being a Landis fan have to do with being a Disco fan? How many americans are even ON team Disco this year? 2? 3? (edit) Oh, sorry... One.

And we wonder why the world has a problem with us.... :Sigh:
