uhhh that is most beautiful. I love the lambert branded TA cranks. any idea on the length of your BB spindle, I've got a sugino super maxy (ta copy crankset) that i want to put on my Grand Prix, and the surrent spindle isn't long enough.

Classy ride though!

What are the chances of finding a 40t or smaller inner ring for one of these cranks? I could use one on the Aerospace Pro project.
FWIW, the spindle on my BB is tapered.
I'd also welcome any advice for a good match for the grey/silver paint for touch-ups.

Top, I'm going to end up with some spare parts after combining my Aerospace GP with the Reg Harris. Let me know if there's anything your missing or perhaps just need to spruce up.

I'm pretty sure the TA rings will fit and I know that Velo Orange sells them.

http://www.velo-orange.com/tapro5visch.html

I'll check tonight to see what Lambert rings I have and will confirm that Lambert arms will fit the TA's

I did check that with a TA inner that I have and the BCD was spot on.

Neal, that offer for spare Lambert parts goes out to you also. Or anybody for that matter.

Top,
My Zieleman is about the same color as the Viscount silver. I bought Testors Aluminum colored paint (and the steel color) and it matches up really well. You can find it at most hobby shops.

I don't suppose you have the original Lambert/Viscount seat post nut, i.e. with a V or an L centre, do you? The one on my new purchase is rusted and missing the centre/cover and it'd be nice to replace it with an original.

The front and back chrome cable guides for the centre-pulls could do with replacing too, if you have any spare??

The top tube cable guides or the stem and seat post guides? Yes to the top tube guides but they're not marked Lambert. Yes, to the seat post nut with A "V" PM me, got any extra skewers? V or L?

Here's my cleaned up Viscount Alamo. Bought for £35 from a man who'd salvaged it from a recycling plant.

I've given it a good clean, new tyres, handlebar tape, brake blocks and cables, replaced the seat, and removed a rack and a pair of battered mudguards, but otherwise everything is how I found it. It has a lugged frame, Simplex derailleur, Suntour gearing, Landar brakes, Shimano levers, Lyotard pedals, Pelisier hub with Schothorst rim on the front, Mount hub with Etrto/Alesa(?) rim on the back (a later replacement, I think), an SR handlebar stem and unbranded bars.

Thanks to Scott Ryder for sorting me out with the replacement brake cable guides and clips for the top tube.

sounds cheap enough... leave the fork and save it for history.

That bike doesn't have the DEATH FORK.

thomas1979

No, it doesn't have the Death Fork. I think it's a later model made after after the fork fiasco, and I also suspect it's a lower spec than the Aerospace models that did have it.

This death fork s*** still keeps coming up....
Well, it keeps 'em cheap so don't stop.

Scott Ryder and I are planning a Lambert/Viscount Death Fork ride in the spring. Any similarly afflicted New Englanders are welcome to join!

Scott has seen me with a replacement fork strapped to my saddle bag. That might not be optional for this ride.

I'm in for that, provided I can find a fine, high-quality English 'light metal' fork to replace this cheap chrome Tange thing on the Aerospace Pro.........:D

Here's one that showed up in the local craigslist today:

http://atlanta.craigslist.org/bik/1001415791.html

I'd sure like to have one of these quirky bikes but $150 seems a bit much for this rusted and scratched specimen. Not to mention the need to replace the death fork with something less potentially face-marring.

I don't believe the fork would be a problem. I think the lawyers for the company made a big flap about it to avoid law suits.
I'd ride it as is, and simply keep an eye on it.

Sorry, can't agree with you on this.
I had an Aerospace pro, commuted on it complete with death fork, needless to say it didn't fail.
That said you need to see the write up at Classic Rendezvous

the fork crown steerer tube connection is something to behold (i.e. bad design).

would I ride one? sure but I'd take it easy on it.

Me too. I need a set of "V" pedal covers and a "V" seat post nut and bolt.

Awful lot of Viscount/Lambert love in this thread! I've got a set of crankarms like the TA's that have not had the taper filed. Ugly things needing a polish. They were supposedly NOS and the rings (not included) look like they have never seen a chain but the arms are pretty darn ugly.

If anyone wants them PM me. Yours for the cost of shipping.

And here's a Viscount crankset on eBay, including the BB spindle. Just get a couple of $5 sealed bearings from Loosescrews.com, and you'll be set:

I picked this Yamaha 'Viscount Denver' up for $5.00 NZ, with no wheels or seat.

Then added wheels off a healing and voila.

I have a viscount professional its grey and blue, in pretty good shape. It still has the "death forks," EXTREMELY light with all original parts and the leather saddle. I am looking to sell it and wondering what a good price is. If anyone is interested or knows anything about this bike please contact me at davextreme@roadrunner.com.

Hi got my old viscount running. Handles like dream.

Managed to get a used Viscount Aero seat for it too ( :

This is the bike on 22nd June 2009.

I am planning a nice English country theme photo shoot with pheasants or rabbits draped over the handlebars and the squires daughter sometime

and on speedplay.com website in their gallery you can see the pedals and toe clips. It says the toe clips are rare and worth about $300 to collectors.

Now you tell me! I just gave a set away for beer money:crash:
