Just mounted Conti Sprinters on some Mavic training tubular wheels (my first time gluing tubulars) . Not too bad, but I have a tiny hump on the back wheel.

How can I prevent this is the future? I stretched the tires on the rims for 4 days and they went on pretty good. I tried follow the valve at 12:00 and pushing down at 1:00 & 11:00, 3:00 & 9:00 , etc.

Any tips from tubular experts?

Its probably not the glue, sounds like a defect in the tire. The glue will spread out evenly with the pressure from the tire.

Rotate the tire and see if the hump is from something between the rim and the tire (easy to see). If it is, take off the tire and find out whats in there and reglue, but flip the tire over so the ire doesn't go back on in the same place.

That's what I was thinking- figured pumping something up to 140 psi would definitely smooth out any imperfection.
