I've just been round to a mates house only to find a brand new Scott Octane FX-1 frame in mango/black sat in his room.

Apparently he was given it and doesn't have a use for it so might sell for a sensible offer.

But how do you value a new 98 frame?

Any suggestions?

(Sorry to post such an odd question for my 1st thread!)

Thanks

If he can't use it, make him any reasonable offer. If you can post a picture, and we'll offer some opinions to its' value.

I'm afraid i can't get hold of any pics, unless i pop down and take a digi picture, which might be a bit cheeky(i'll ask him tomorrow!)

If it's any help it is single pivot, replacable hanger, disc brake ready, and the shock appears to be Scotts own with a oil reservoir for the coil shock mounted on the seat tube. (And as i said it's mint, looks like its been built once)

I can't get any info from the net on the bike, so was hoping someone used to own one!

It maybe a bit oldskool now, but it would only replace my Zaskar frame (with XT, 217s, RST mozo pro 4.5s!!, etc...)

......those were the days!!

Thanks once again
Sam
