I know that a lot of picking ou a bike has to do with getting on the bike and riding it. However, I want to make sure I'm getting the right bike. I don't think that I'm going to be doing a lot of rough road riding or jumps or things like that. But I can see riding on some dirt trails when I'm more comfortable. Is a mountain bike really what I need or will a comfort-type bike work? I don't want to get into a bike that won't be flexable enough for what I want to do. It's been a very long time since I was out riding.
The bikes that I'm currently looking at (waiting till they get one in my size in the LBS) Is the Cannondale Adventure 600 or the Cannondale Hardtail 400 (I think that's the number) Or....the Rockymountain Soul. Having one in the shop my size is difficult since I'm only 4'11. Any advice would be great!
