Mountain Biking - No bike for me :(

DUhhh I was in the car of my friend's parents and we got an accident... we had 4 bike on the bike roack and guess qhat ! the stupid one hit the rear of the car so
No more Stinky Dee-luxe for me
No more Kona Kikapu for my friends
No more Trek Liquid for his father
No more Kona Lisa DS for his mother

Will the insurance gve us money ??

Damn, that's a huge loss. Yes, insurance should cover it assuming the idiot had insurance. I would absolutely demand that the insurance company pay replacement cost. Sometimes, they'll try to give you a lower value than what you paid for the bikes to account for their depreciated value. I'd push hard for replacement value, including any upgrades you've done. Hopefully you can get some use out of the parts that didn't get destroyed.

I hope you saved your receipt for the bike. Even if you didn't, take the busted bike to your LBS and get them to write you up a quote for a replacement bike. Make sure they include any aftermarket parts. Actually, you should get quotes for all of the damaged bikes. Take the quote with a copy of the police report to the insurance company of the person who was at fault in the accident and make a claim. If you were an innocent bystander/passenger, you should not have to pay a dime to get your bike repaired or replaced.

Unfortunately I see more "I forgot to take my bike off my roofrack" threads than I do saying "I got rear Ended."

At least with the rear ending it is someone elses stupidity. :D

and it's kinda hard to roof-rack a stinky...

Now I'm scared. I just got a hitch rack yesterday, and waiting for the UPS man today to bring the hitch :(
