I was curious about how the GT iDrives perform. I noticed also that the frame/linkage design is similar to the FSR and was wondeiring if they had leased the design. (As Giant did on their VT series). Last is if anyone knew if the quality of bikes when down since they were acquired by Pacific Cycle.(Schwinns went down!)
Thanks

iDrives have a rather high bb which gets you into a higher center of gravity on the bike. Riding one feels like you're too high to me, and I'm not a huge fan of their handling. It seems that their quality has not been as affected by the buyout, though as with Schwinn there are no more USA made bikes. I wouldn't give Pacific my money, but that's just me being hacked off because they drove Schwinn into the ground.

I have a friend who swears by them. My issue is the complexity. I live by KISS and that bike is not KISS. :)...

That and who knows how long they last under pacific. If for example pacific shuts the series down in two years where will the I-Drive be...
