BMX - This is starting to drive me up a wall!

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Ok, so everyone here is suggesting really nice bikes. Also saying that the DK Cincinnati would be a crappy buy, along with the F4. Where the guys at both of the different stores said they would be good for a begginer in flatlanding. I AM A BEGGINER! I hope to later on get a really nice bike like a KHE or something. But right now i need something to get the hang of the basics on.

If you want basics, buy any 200$ entry level bike and start upgrading it with flatland parts.

They want you to spend money in their store. Buying a bike at their store = money for them.

Well yes. But if someone find out there lying they arent ever going to go back to that store and they are gunna tell are their friends and family that that store is weak.

they are all lieing. All a sales person is is someone who lies to you and does anything to convince you to buy something.

Bikes come and go, riding skills more or less last as long as you keep riding. Since you have nothing to ride now, get what you can afford and go from there. Sure it's more economical to buy a higher end complete at first, but you're wasting the summer if you just work your ass off to save for it instead of being able to ride.

You'll have a better idea of what you want after you've been riding for a while. Then you can buy parts or a nice flatland specific custom.

The DK is pretty compact, I don't know about the Haro. I know Haro makes a $700 flatland bike that I rode in the shop for a minute. Silent hubs are bizarre.

They don't care because then they will already have your money.

I'm kinda torn right know between DK signal and we-the-people div though. some people said the we-the-people is really nice too.

Yha it seams that recently, a bad batch of KHE parts went out, Including Geisha Freecoasters, and Flat 26 stems stripping out, on a batch of complete KHE equillibriem bikes. Other then that though, I havent heard much. My $25.00 taska freecoaster does the job better then any other free coaster I have rode on before, Including the Nankai Freecoaster, and the Haro M 14mm freecoaster.

Fly have stopped doing completes now. Their last one was the barcelona so it will take a bit of asking to get them to make a £1000 complete bike for £500 nowadays

Cheers eightdip I'm in the uk so price in sterling is good but not when it's 240 and a 1-piece ...

And I am sooo sorry for asking you a BMX question in a BMX forum lunchbox, fair enough if you didn't know but no need for the sarcasm.

Next time I want to know about McDonalds or BK i'll come talk to you.
