Doesn't sound as good as mine: :D

2 cups skim milk
2 banananas
1 cup oatmeal
1 scoop chocolate protein powder
1 hearty scoop of peanut butter

Blend well for at least 60 seconds. Do it before you go to bed so it's good and cold in the morning, otherwise add ice while making. It's yummy and easy to drink while I'm headed out the door.

Sounds pretty good to me. I frequently have a similar concoction, oatmeal + brown sugar + nuts (usu. pecans, walnuts, or almonds) + whey powder. Maybe a glass of juice or water. Another thing I've been trying just recently is meusli + yogurt + whey powder. You let the meusli "soak" in the yogurt for a few minutes, kinda softens it up a little. Pretty tasty. I get Bob's Red Mill Meusli and Brown Cow yogurt (cherry vanilla, mmmmm). It would be pretty easy to adjust amounts to suit your caloric and PRO-CHO-FAT needs. I try not to have that right before rides though since it's a little "heavier" than the oatmeal.

That is what I have for breakfast every morning
Oats and chocolate protein powder cooked together with a spoonful of all natural peanut butter mixed in and milk on top with a banana. mmmmm

mrfreddy: Thats more than 1200 calories, with about 70% calories from fat (saturated). Good luck with having those. I am more than happy with my "horse" breakfast.

My usual breakfast is oatmeal, usually with honey, dried fruit, and skim. I should probably add some protein powder in there. Good idea, guys.

But am I the only one who washes it down with a big mug o' Joe?

Joe. (It's American slang for coffee.)

it's a helluva lot less than 1200 calories, and I love saturated fat. just like Guinness, it's good for you! much better than the sugar content of your horsie meal.

I usually have a Starbucks Doubleshot Light (70 calories) with a diet Red Bull chaser, and an Altoid or a piece of Dentyne Ice. I have this every morning.

Me me me....
3 eggs (fresh from the farm) fried in duck fat, over easy
1 piece of traditionally fermented bread with lots of butter (no yeast)
1/2 of an avocado
1 large glass of raw whole milk

...if there is a better way to start a day, please enlighten me. When I try the 'horse' diet above, I last about 2 hours and have no energy. Of course you can add bacon and make this a 'perfect' breakfast, but that gets expensive. Make sure you dont dump out your bacon fat, toss a piece of toast in their to soak it up very tasty. Of any meal, I crave fat for breakfast, I am not big on dinner though-

Do you keep a defibrilator on the counter next to the toaster?

What in the FLYING HELL is a turducken....it sounds dutch.

Seriously though, duck fat is stuff legends are made from. Its all natural, tastes great and depending on who you talk to, is healthy for you-

No, drano actually...with a huge syringe.
I eat the same way my Grandpa did, he led a long life...died at 77 from enphazema, smoked for 40 years. Lucky he didnt go sooner from lung cancer.

I was exagerating a bit on that breakfast, I only do that 3-4 times a week....a bran muffin with coffee works for my days off-

You can't beat my after-ride breakfast of this morning: Leftover Chinese sesame noodles, cold, that were mixed with chicken breast, scallions, onions, celery and sesame seed.

Leftovers are good!

Just giving you a hard time. My grandfather used to eat breakfasts like that too. He would fry up a pound of bacon and set it aside. Then he'd fry the eggs by ladling hot grease on top of them. Finally, he'd refry frijoles in the remaining grease. Lots of black coffee, maybe a splash or two of Canadian Club if a weekend morning.... He knew how to live. And did so until he was 87.

Sounds sublime if you ask me...nothing better than cold leftovers IMO. I will take cold pizza over the warm stuff anyday-

Take your cold pizza and get a big heavy frying pan and re-heat, covered, over low to medium heat carefully till the cheese on top is hot. Make sure not to burn the crust. Makes the crust crispy and crunchy like a cracker, very good.

A turducken is a chicken stuffed into a duck that is stuffed inside a turkey. John Madden can fit one in his mouth and then spit the bones out with machinegun-like precision.
