Could be wrong, but this looks like fillet brazing to me ...and I am not familiar with a fillet brazed Team Miyata.

Somebody is?

TIG welding more likely.
My late '80s Team Miyata TT frame is joined the same way, with a 'semi-lugged' seat lug.
T-Mar will know for sure.

Very nice! Paint scheme and decals are almost identical to the Pro-Miyata I have shown above in the "riding impressions" thread.

Yes, there I found.

Okay, it is saying Aero Miyata, not Team Miyata. Sweet bike! Thought it was fillet brazed as I couldn't see a single weld, the connections are smooth ...and it is not some sort of "smooth welded" aluminium bike. Furthermore I thought welding was not very likely for a roadbike that age.

This article is describing the Slim Chance as an early attempt on a welded steel roadbike:

That Miyata is pretty small I think it said 50.5cm seat

I have been looking for a 58cm chromo touring bike and havent found many in Japan
