Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

sorry if there's already a similar thread. i just bought a 32 hole surly hub. i have jalco drx3000 alloy 606ih-t6 700c 622-13 rims. they've got 36 holes. my questions are as two:
are four empty spoke holes a big deal?
i wanna buy deep v velocity road rims. what should i pay and where online can i find these?
thanks i bunch in advance,

skipping 4 holes will be a huge deal. You could lace a 36 hole hub to have 24 (I think Sheldon's site mentioned that) and 18 "paired spoke" configuration, but 32 will create uneven tension and truing will be a nightmare as well as longevity.
I found a good deal on velocity rims at www.cambriabike.com but if you run a search, someone asked about velocity rims last week and got a response with a shop that stocks a large selection of Velocity products and drop ships anything they don't have in stock. Best of luck!

54 per rim, right? As in, not paired.

$50 for Velocities. +1 for Universal. Also check http://www.lickbike.com
Don't mix 32 spokes with 36 holes.
