Does anybody know of a suspension seat post that can be used by a short stoker? Her existing seat post only extends 3.25 inches (82.5 mm) from the frame, and we've not been able to find a suspension post with that small of a minimum extension.
As an aside, how do the Brooks "sprung" saddles compare with a good suspension post? Do they provide a comparable ride?
Thanks in advance!

How short is "short"? I'm 5'1" and I use a Rock Shox on our Primera, but I assume you've already looked at those. She must be shorter than I am because I have 4.25" total exposure from my frame to the bottom of my saddle. It looks like it would work with 3.25", but what do I know?!
No idea about the Brooks, but I did look at them this weekend while cruising the lbs for other stuff.
The Tamer "Pivot Plus" lists a minimum height of 83mm which would be very close to what you are looking at. It is a bit pricey, but seems like a decent post.
I was looking for the same thing about 1 year ago. If I remember, the seatpost with the least exposure was the Tamer. It might have been that Tamer was seatpost with the "best" quality and least minimum insertion. I say "best" because we had not ridden one and the reviews looked favorable for the seatpost.
I have a Tamer XC Pivot Plus that uncompressed is a little under 3.5" to bottom of rail, they advertise as 83mm minimum insertion ~3.2". It is too large a diameter for our tandem. I am unsure of its diameter but can find out. PM me if interested.
Check Tamer out online at http://www.tamerusa.com/pivotplus.htm.

EDIT: I was writing this at same time as above was posted, lol
Many saddles have enough room to allow the seat-post-to-saddle clamps to be positioned above the seat rails, instead of the common position below the seat rails. Making this change will gain about 1/2" to 1" of seatpost length.
