Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Sounds like a neat way to donate an old bike and have someone get a really good use out of it.......
I don't know anything specifically abou this organization but I had a friend who went to mount Everest and took a duffle bag full of old reading glasses to nepal for donation so that people could have them that otherwise couldn't afford them.
If you have a bike you could spare go for it.

A local radio station partnered up with a local burger joint & bike shop, and had a "burgers for bikes" week, donate an old bike, get a free burger! I worked on some of the bikes, making them ridable and safe. Some of the bikes where brand new, some 50 yrs old. Overall, we collected around 450 bikes, only 20 - 30 went to the scrap yard, all otheres where donated to a company who ended up taking the bikes to Honduras.
I have never changed so many flats in my life. Of all the bikes that came in, only a small handfull where rideable. Most had flats, rusty chains, no seats etc. It was alot of hard work, but well worth it.
