I'm 6'2" and around 200lbs and would like to use the new hyperlight hennessey hammock. It is the same size as the backpacker hammock. Anyone around my size tried using the backpacker hammock? Anyone got any tips one which one I should get. I really am trying to go light. Thanks for the info everyone.

I'm just about your size and bought an ultralight from MEC. I ended up returning it and buying the Expedition. For a couple of extra grams you get a lot more. That was three years ago and 2 tours ago and I'm still using it. If you are biking, a few grams will not make much difference and it will be the right size for you so you can take full advantage of the asym design and sleep across the centre wire.

If you have any back issues the properly sized Hennessy will be a life saver. You will fall asleep right away and sleep most of the way through the night. Pay the money and get the right product. Also, buy the snakeskins. They will make set up and breakdown so easy you will wonder how other people can survive without them.

And if I can act as an unpaid agent for Hennessy, I'd like to add that their customer service is next to none and they are always willing to help out with answers about their products. I stealth camp so coyote brown is my favourite colour.

Good luck and I hope you enjoy the hammock as much as I do.
