Foo - I HATE people who use "k" or "kk" in messages!

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

This is by far the most annoying abbreviation to date!

Is it THAT hard to type the 'O' THAT IS LOCATED 6MM TO THE THE TOP LEFT OF THE K???.

On MSN all the time ALL the time, there are people who say "k" and "kk". There are the ones who say 'OK' but when they are peeved off they say "k", but there are the ones who say "k" all the time! I get offended when an "ok" person says "k" to me. Utterly offended...it sounds like they dont care, not worth the time typing out the "O". Then there are the single liner "k" 's

e.g. - "I am cleaning my bike"
-"oh k" < I can take that

BUT

- " I am clenaing my bike"
- "k" < if i only i could cyber punch them in the face

THEN there are the "kk". THESE are by FAR the most annoying people. If they can't be stuffed typing the "O" , but they can type the extra "k"? Then the question of IS the extra "K" nessesary?!? "kk" means "ok ok" but is generally never used in proper situations.

E.G. Tim - "I just bought a $50,000 boat today!"
John -"kk" < ARH ARH ARH! YOU COULD HAVE SAID "K" at least!

Why do you need to tell me 'ok ok', am i rushing you? Have you had enough? If "K" isn't offensive enough, the extra "K" just tops it off!

When will people grow up? AND LEARN TO TOUCH TYPE! (like me :))

That dosn't even make sense in context when translated into 'ok ok'. Now how proffesional does this post seem with no AOLese!

Heres another tip:

When arguing over the interent, the person who types with correct spelling and puncation always wins!

Thats why Raiyn and I never got ahead of each other when we cyber fought because non of us abbreviated!

KK around here means only one thing: Krispy Kreme doughnuts.

My pet peeves are the incorrect use of the word 'loose', the use of the non-word 'alot', and the insertion of the work 'like' throughout one's speech. eg: I was like way behind and I figured I would like loose the race. That would like disappoint my parents alot.

I've been on Instant Messaging for ten years now, and to this day I continue to write out what I want to express. Rarely do I use abbreviations, and it's only when I'm in a hurry. I actually find it more difficult to find an abbreviation to use than to simply write out the word.

The older generation seems to be like that. My dad is the same way. The younger generations like us and those who came after us grew up with these acronyms and thus have made them a part of our vocabulary. Much like your generation did with your own words in your own time. And i am sure the generations before you that didn't understand your words or your habits had the same feelings ;) .

what I hate is when people type kekekekeke or jajajaja instead of hehehe or yeah.

I've gotten used to the weird smiley faces ( ^_^ ), but the kekeke thing annoys me to no end. It's about as bad as leet speak.

You know what pisses me off. Computer BIOSes that don't display "CD-ROM" when auto-detecting drives, so you think your dual HDD install went wrong, requiring a removal of more acoustic foam, which must then be replaced, so I can relocate the drives, so I can cable it up differently, only to discover it's the same as before!

It's been motherboards of the last 2-3 years that have done this, and it's getting mighty annoying.

Seriously though....I want to pimpsmack the fool that did this.

Fo shizzle.
