Ok guys and gals
What was the "Italian" racing bike that Dave in the movie breaking away rode?I don't think it ever says or shows a good view of.any one know?

If you have a dvd player with zoom you can see in several side shots on the downtube it says MASI. Now a bigger question is did he ride a Masi or did they just put a decal on a bike, like a schwinn for example?

I read it was a Masi & the Italian team was riding Colnagos. The bike Dave (& eveyone else) rode in the little 500 was an AMF Roadmaster, I saw one in the LBS for an overhaul recently, really crude & made you wonder why the owner would spend the money to have it maintained. Don

Well that wasn't to tuff now was it.I thought it would have been tougher but I watched the movie last night and saw alot I hadn't noticed.
I will try to do better next time.

I've heard that it was specifically a Masi Gran Criterium
