Doesn't matter. Weak souls will be crushed, and widows will be made.

Well if Jan and Ivan get the boot and no one from Disco or Floyd or Levi get caught up in this I'd say we've got great chance of an all-American podium (Disco being an "US" team). Minus Jan and Ivan I could see Floyd, Levi and big George taking the top three steps.
As for the atmosphere I think this will be much like 98 with the Festina Affair with the media constantly hounding the riders about doping and LeBlanc acting outraged that this could happen in cycling.

If Jan and Ivan are out, i'm going for Jens Voigt, whether he's got a realistic chance or not.

WOW... I am shocked that Ivan and Jan are now out!!!! This is going to be a very interesting tour..... I feel sorry for the poor chap that ends up winning.... they are going to drain him dry with all the blood checks!

For me? no... I'm going Landis or maybe even Levi... George is going to lose too much time in the time trials.
1. Landis
2. Levi
3. Rassmussen
This could be huge for American cycling.... ther could possibly be 3 podium spots... and maybe 5 top 10 spots!..... defintely make up for the crappy World Cup!

Hang on...
You've still got...
Valverde
Popovych
Sastre
Mazzoleni (rode great last year for Lampre without a lot of support)
Kloden
Vino
Menchov
Voeckler
Garzelli
DiLuca
Cunego
Simoni if he can shut his mouth and quit whining
With Ullrich gone, the time trials opened up a lot.
There are some good riders out there that might just get motivated...
The sad thing is that someone will win this Tour and people will say, "yeah, but..."
BTW...I am left wondering how Euskaltel seems to be escaping all this or am I missing something here?

Euskaltel is a Basque team. The Basque region is basically an autonomous community in the Pyrenees region, and the Basque people as a whole pretty much try to have as little to do with the rest of Spain as possible. If Euskaltel riders are doping, they're doing it somewhere else.
