Well... considering it's the same exact symbol for the results of all 3 numbers, they really can't go wrong.

You can pick ANY two digit number... not just the examples they give.

I did it 5 times and it hit right all 5 times with three different symbols.

When you take any two digit number, add the digits and subtract that new number from the original number, you get a number that is a multiple of nine. If you look at the chart of symbols, all multiples of nine have the same symbol.
