I may be weak searcher, but I hope I am better at asking the question

I ought a set of SKS fenders and the rear one took a little time due to brake clearance, but I like it...

However on the frong, I have a suspension fork without fender eyelets. I want to keep the SKS because I will eventually be going to a Rigid fork.

I will be checking the LBS, but it is a small shop, and they had to even order my fenders, so I wonder what others may have done...

What do you to with a suspension fork without eyelets? I have considered looking around the Home Depot, but other than trying to rig somethig up with hose clamps, don't know if I will find anything useful.

Where can I find something like a P clamp big enough for a suspension fork?

I have used two "P" clamps bent out to a half circle each Bolted together as one clamp. At home depot there is perforated straping for hanging pipes. It is galvinized steel I think. You can make any length clamp from that. Cut a protective pad first from a tube. Tape it in place on the fork with black tape to hold it in place. Bend and shape the strapping, bolt on the fenders. I paint the grey straping black after I'm done it just looks better.

SKS makes something very similar called the Mudmax - which I have on one of my folders. It works quite well - tons better than I expected. I'd expect the Planetbike one to work very well too.

I knew the commuting forum was the right place to ask about making things happen from a fender prspective.

I appreciate the Mudmax/Plant Bike suggestions as well, but I am just looking for a stop-gap until I make the move to rigid forks, then I'll want my SKS on there. I may actually see if my LBS has an integrated threadless headset and make the move now. I bought the riught fork for a different bike I am buiilding, but I might make the move on my commuter first if I can get it done today...

If I get the strapping, I will probably just do a tape-wrap around the strap and a segment of old tube, since it only needs to last for a month or two and I have some black electrical tape, but no black paint... ;)
