Strange, This headline was in my cycling section of MyYahoo page and when I click on it 'Can not find page ' comes up:confused: Then I went to Cycling News on Yahoo Sports and there isn't a headline there. Anyone see this story anywhere?

Thanks Joe!! I never thought about the War affecting the Tour...Sad! Rant : Just once, I mean once! I would like to see a story about Lance without 'testicular cancer' being mentioned. He had cancer in other places too.

It appears that Yahoo no longer has a cycling section and none of the links from this section go anywhere. I sent a "broken link" message to Yahoo late last week but nothing has been done to repair the problem. They seem to have made quite a few dumb "enhancements" recently.

I certainly hope when Lance quits winning Tours it is because he retires or someone or some team beats him. It would be a terrible thing to have the string broken in a manner not related to cycling.
Didn't another cyclist suffer a similar fate during one of the WW's?

Just one more reason to pray for peace.

I think Fausto Coppi might have had more success if his career hadn't spanned WW2.

If you think of the way the tour is conducted, it would be soooo easy to attack Lance. And with the length of the stages, there is no way he could be protected. Maybe the leaders jersey should be camo this year. I'm not sure I would ride it if I were him. With his outlook on life and his attachment to his family, it would not shock me if he pulled out if the situation looks too risky.

He created a self-fulfilling prophecy IMO. I cannot believe that doing anything to Lance was on the minds of people before this article went out. He should have remained quiet on the issue.
Lance has always been a security nut at the tour. Somehow, I don't think he'll be on the top of terrorists attack list.
I remember seeing a photo of him with his bodyguards. One of them is a former pro kickboxer who looks like OddJob!
From the article:
"In cycling you ride in the open -- there is no fencing or protection nets. But I will be there just the same, it won't be the war that stops me," said the American.

I also think that he should have keep quiet, coz, this way you don't attract anybody, and i don't want him not getting his 5th tour title because of threat against his life....legacy is very hard to make
