You'd think you'd be safe walking through your own living room. Walking through my living room a little while ago and here comes the 5 yr. old, out of the kitchen. VROOOM.
Busted my butt trying not to fall on her.:o :D

Those pesky kids these days! Did you smell her breath? Probably DWK (driving while kid.)

Better question was she ridding VC, so this accident could have been avoided? HelmetHead your thoughts on this? :D

I think I suspect possible child abuse and better inform the legal authorities. You can try to prove your innocence later if you like.
I am sure I am doing the right thing, and if I screw up your life with a baseless allegation, so what! I can still feel good about myself,eh?

This is a prime example of getting into your comfort zone, you let your guard down and you lose that mental edge. We're you in the center of the lane or more to the right? What was the visability like? We're you wearing headphones, yellow jersey, we need answers.:D

Was the kid on her cell phone at the time?
And a little advice, for what it's worth: be careful, or before you know it, there's more of them! Hallway gridlock!

Did she fly past the stop sign you, no doubt, have posted at each doorway? Was she on the right or riding down the middle of the floor? Did she have proper lighting or use the correct hand signals? What's with five year-old's these days? In my day, we even had to have a little license plate so we could be identified by siblings and parents we creamed as we raced from room to room.
LOL
Great post.

Yeah! Licensing, that's the ticket! No little incompetent should be allowed access where real people congregate at all, until after completing a training course. I just happen to know a certified instructor teaching the course (me) who is available to give lessons to the unwashed scofflaws and uneducated newbies.;)

The alleged offender should also be instructed in the proper use of her bicycle's warning bell. Of course, those can be a mixed blessing... ;)

Better yet the offenders should be given air horns to use whenever they feel you need to be informed of their presence.

"Daddy, can you pump up my Air Zound again? It's almost empty! :("
You obviously need velotransit lanes in the hallway. Get out the white paint for your next weekend project.

"What? What? I can't hear you, honey. In fact, I can't hear anything."

She was probably intoxicated from all the popsicles she'd been eating.

Air horns and bells? Kids and noise-makers? I'm thinking of Dennis the Menace with his toy drum, turning Mr. Wilson into a nervous wreck.
