WE went, we went and I know it wooooooooooooooooot. Ok so me and my friend went to ozzfest.

Ok lets see. Main stage-
Dragonforce- Amazing band love em.
Lacuna Coil- Also is an amazing band, but the vocals were drowned out by the instrumentals. But she totally rocks out so it was awesome.
Avenged Sevenfold- Not particularly my most favorite band, me and my friend don't really like them. They did a cover of walk by pantera. That was sweet.
Hatebreed- Even though it was the main stage, and there was no designated mosh pit. Everyone started one in the crowd out on the green. Love this band too, they are so awesome.
Disturbed- David Drainman, is my hero. They were awesome, and he is so metal.
System of a down- They played last, at 9:30pm we got to hear some songs of toxicity and the new album and we left a few songs early.

Lets see, second stage which was earlier in the day-

Ozzy- He freakin decided to take 2nd stage this year. Man everyone was getting hyphy, it was crazy. I got to see freakin ozzy"!@#
Black Label society- Not particularly fond of this band.
Just to name a few of the other bands, they are all screamo so I don't specifically have any comments on them except "Most PIT!!". Atreyu, Unearth, Bleeding through, Norma Jean, Strapping young lad, All that remains, Between the buried and me.

Ok so, overall it was amazing. It lasted from 9am to about 10:30 pm for us. We got to be in the mosh pit a couple of times, which was awesome. Only problem is that all the dudes are way bigger than me, and I was getting tossed around like a rag doll. I'm bruised on my arms and ribs lol. Lets see, tons of people smoking weed around us. Tons of people drinking and smoking, which was annoying as hell being a non smoker/drug user lol. We had a fight breakout 2 feet behind us where two middle aged dude started slugging eachother. Overal we witnessed like 3 fights. Got to see some tits, and this day was amazing.

Ozzy won't even perform at Ozzfest in Michigan this year. Even if he did, its not like I'd go see it anyway. My personal tastes in music involve nothing on that list besides Ozzy.

I like cobalt. Not the heaviest of metals, but it's still pretty cool. Sure makes a nice catalyst, too.

I love metal. Its just that I either dislike or am unfamiliar with everything on the playlist. My favorite metal bands include Metallica, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Rammstien, Megadeth, Motley Crue, Diamondhead and many others.

By the way, this thread belongs in the entertainment forum.

Sounds like some horrible 80s hair metal to me...and I mean their music, not their name.

I guess it's "complaining pansy day" for this thread.... I actually wouldn't mind seeing most of the bands you listed, tho.

I find it funny that more people talk about how they hate metal and hate ozzfest in a thread I made about ozzfest. Oh, and If I seem snappy at people today its because I'm majorly pissed about the blisters from my sunburns.

I didn't know most of the bands I listed, I just went with my friend who insisted on seeing ozzfest. I do love most of the bands you named though :)

Was Zack Wylde playing guitar for Ozzie? Isn't he in Black Label Society as well?

Do tell.

Yea, black label society hit the stage. Then ozzy came out, and he played lead guitar for ozzy. It was sweetness.

Was any particular song that really rocked?

I would think his older stuff kicked a$$. Mr Crowley is one of my favorites. If I heard the keyboard into I would have went crazy. :D

I saw Slayer at ozzfest one year. It was the year when tool was on the mainstage and I broke my leg running down the stairs trying to evade security :D

My friend and I have a contest where we see who can get to the stage first even though we have nosebleed seats

Only problem is when the designated mosh pit area is blocked off and you can't elbow your way to the front.
