Classic & Vintage - Motobecane Mirage
Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I have a 1973 Motobecane Mirage. It is in pretty good condition. The paint could have seen better days but there is no rust or anything. It has all original components (from what I was told) and rides very well. I was just kind of curious what it is worth. I am trying to figure out whether I should restore it and ride it or try to sell it. I am sorry I don't currently have any pictures. I will try to get some up later tonight if it helps.

Whether you should restore it depends on what it's worth to you. Market value is probably around $100. A restoration would certainly cost more than $100. So... Does it need restoration in order to ride? Is there some sentimental reason for you to restore this particular bike that would make you ignore the expense?

If you weren't too far away, I'd definitely be interested at that price.
