Recommendations?
I think the Jet S is too light.. the casing would flat pretty easy on the rocky stuff I occaisionally ride on. I ride in a variety of conditions, varrying from hardpacked sandy trails (With some deep sand) to loose limerock. So I need something with pretty good all around traction for when things get gnarly. Idealy I'd like something that rolls fast, too. And wider is better.. preferable 2 inches or slightly wider.
I know it's too much to ask, but something with pretty good all around characteristics is what I want. I can't afford to be buying new tires all the time for different riding conditions, so I'll be using these as an all terrain tire. Right now I'm running a Panaracer Trailblaster, and while it's light, it's sketchy at times since the knobs are so widely spaced. It's tossed me on my arse in deep sand, as well. It doesn't roll fast at all, either.
My top considerations:
IRC Serac XC

-Claimed to roll fast, and be pretty flat resistant. Looks like a good tire for the hardpack, but it's loose performance seems questionable.
Panracer Fire XC Pro

- I have a set of these in the tubed version, but they roll slow. Other than that, they're a good all around tire
Hutchison Python

- Seems like a good all around tire, good width, looks like a good performer in most terrain except the loose stuff.
I'm open to suggestions here, so if any of you could give me some insight, I'd appreciate it.
