Any one have info on how good these frames are? Are they light, stiff and durable? 2005 model new for very good price due to shop going out of business. Is this frame race worthy? Thanks for any info.

Well, I'd hazard a guess they're no less 'light, stiff and durable' than the competition. Like most frames at this level, I'd be guessing that they're not better or worse than anything else out there. The geomtery seems quite okay and you have the bonus of it being available in 7 sizes, which is a plus these days (although nowhere near as good as the 'good-old-days' when 10+ sizes were available.)

Like many bikes these days they also downspec the cranks and brakes just so they can upspec the rear derailleur which I think is pretty dumb, but there's not much you can do about that if you're buying the whole bike except to 'contrast and compare' it to bikes in the same price point.

All in all, you're looking at a fairly generic 7005 frame with fairly nice geometry actually, so depending on price you could do a lot worse. The lack of colour choice and those downtube decals placed too low irritates the bejesus out of me however  :)

Don't confuse these Masi's with the Masi's of the past I might hasten to add. These are all mass produced offshore out of Aluminium and in no way resemble the steel Masi's of the past.
