Man this is weird. Usually I want the winter to last as long as possible but having just bought a new bike just recently, I can't wait for the snow to melt. I'm an avid snowboarder so I usually enjoy the snow. But I took the board out yesterday and found my highback was busted. Bummmer. And I don't have the cash to replace high back because all funds going towards the bike. This is too wierd man. So no equipment to snowboard and too much snow to bike.:( Well atleast I have a sport to look forward to every season of the year now.

I know that feeling. I live in Snoboard / ski meca and I can't afford equipment because I want to make my bike better. I hope this winter is going to be as short as it has been warm. :)

I'm dying to ride my new bike. Every ride on my old beater is painful, I dream of being on the Rocky. Only 2 more months to go...

I'm dying to ride my old bike...I was deployed to Afghanistan last April and returned the middle of December. I pined for my bike the whole time. The last few years it's been easily possible to get a ride or so in each week here in Soutwestern Pennsylvania. This year has been cold (typically in the teens the last couple of weeks) and snowy/slushy. I've been on the trainer, but not as much as I 'should' be. I'm dying to get out in the breeze. Hurry Spring!

Dude its practically spring over here... oh wait you' re in Canada... down here, anyway we should have atleast 2-3 ft. at our house and right now there is no snow, zero, zilch. The temp is 50 degrees farenheit it should be about 30 or less. I love snowboarding almost as much as I love my bike but right now its in repair and theres no freaking snow to board in!!! IT SUCKS.

I couldn't wait to ride also, so I bought warm biking clothes and started to ride on snow - although it is not as much fun as biking in summer - but still is interesting. I ride down to -8 degrees Celsius. Just be careful with your new bikes as riding in winter is though on bikes.

Man, it is so odd to hear everyone talk of snow. Here in Tucson it is about 68 - 72 degrees everyday!!! I have been biking as much as I can. Are you jealous? j/k

I've done some snow riding a few times this year. Its actually really fun when the snow is fresh. When the snow is a few days old however, it gets really dry and icy. Not really slippery but it slows you down because you have to ride through a thin layer of ice on top of the snow.
