Hi all!
My name is Laura Hornsby, I'm 27 and a complete newbie to biking. I can't wait to learn from all you guys as what I've seen on the boards so far has been really helpful. I bought a Raleigh Venture 4.0 after a year of being completely jealous of my boyfriends Gary Fisher and have not looked back! I've been riding since mid-May and just broke 400 miles, though the hot South Carolina summers are about to do me in!
I'm really enjoying my bike and the local trails, though I mainly stick to the paved ones and really want to get a more road worthy bike sometime in the near future. I have to admit, I'm a bit leery of getting out there on the road with these crazy drivers. We really need more bike lanes here.
I really look forward to years of enjoying my new found hobby, and the health benefits that come along with it (as I've got a few pounds to shed...).
