I was browsing eBay and came accross this product (http://cgi.ebay.com/Crank-Brothers-Eggbeater-Owners-Please-Read-This_W0QQitemZ110004563297QQihZ001QQcategoryZ36137QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem). Has anyone heard of this and is there any truth to the claim of the extra wear CB cleats put on your shoes?

Doom and gloom. The product looks 'innovative', but I am yet to find any unwanted wear to either of the pairs of shoes I have CB cleats in.

Yeah, that's what I figured. Just checking because I only have a couple of months on my Mallets.

3000 off-road miles and my shoes are only mildly dented. Wouldn't worry about it. If it does get so bad that it affects clipping in, just buy a "beater blocker" then!

I've been using eggbeaters for over a year now and have noticed a little wear on my shoes, but nothing that hinders performance at all.
