i'm just curious about bmx bikes, what are good bikes to start with ? about how fast can a skilled rider go on one? are they good for going from point a to b and doing tricks once in a while ? what should a newbie know before going out and buying one ?

Go to dans comp, albes and empire bmx online. Find the entry level completes, anything in the 200$ range will suit you.

If you want to cruise, buy a cruiser. If you want to ride street/park then buy a 21" street/park bike.

Easterns are pretty much ****.

They arent that great.

The DK or Fit will be alot better.

A cruiser would be a good NYC bike if you're more interested in transport than tricks. But you'll need to lop 6-8 inches off the bars.

My advice would be to read everything in all the threads for about a week, then start posting.

I wouldn't say ****, they obviously are good bikes, but there are better, more reputable companies for sure.

Not ****, but not as good as DK or Fit's completes.

Theyre completes have some pretty nasty grips(unless you like blisters), tires(my freinds wore fast), bars(weird), stems(slip), pedals(almost every complete has those Wellgo cheasy pedals though) and brakes of course(like most stock bikes)
