I'm in the process of having a (name brand) frame replaced under warrantee.

Is it OK to ask for an upgrade, which I'll happily pay for, when the frame is replaced?

This is the first time I've had something replaced under warrantee so I don't want to seem cheeky.
But; 1. I don't want the same probelm to arise and 2. I really, really, really like the frame one level up.

The manufacturer might go for that, I've heard stories of people pulling it off. I don't think it's tacky to ask.

To hear people in my club talk, it's pretty common. Go for it!

All you need to do is ask! Swapped out a 04 Roubaix Pro Frame for an 06 S-Works Roubaix :D :D :D

The worst thing that will happen is they say no.
