Howdy - I've been looking for a nice steel, lugged mt. bike frame to refurb/build up as a single speed. Bridgestone MB's, Specialized Rockhoppers, ect. Then I came along what *looks to be* a nice, steel, lugged, Raleigh Mountain Tour. Except the labels say Road Runner/Venture Mountain Tour. I read somewhere that Raleigh produced bikes that were distributed under these labels...but I also read that Road Runner is a crappy "grocery store"-brand. Attached is a link to the bike. Is this thing any good?
I'm almost positive its a Raleigh - its got the Raleigh lugs on the head tube and fork crown...but I'm just curious why theyd market the same bike under a different brand...
