BMX - Another newbie with questions.

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Hey my name is joe. I like bikes alot. I try to ride all kinds. I got road bikes; fixed gears; mountain bikes; I used to have a tandem; I ride recumbents and i do some downhill. I love bikes. I want to get a bmx cause the vids I see of the guys doing the 720s and ***** look pretty cool and I want to try.
The thing is I don't know nothing about BMX. Never rode one. I was hopin some of the people here could school me on the basics . I tried searchin but I don't even know the diffrnce between freestyle; street' and flatland. I don't know what would be a good starter bike. I wanna ride like the video in this thread-http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php?t=206561&highlight=video

Actully, I'd beg to differ with Mikato. If you would like to get into street, look at the line of Fit bikes- they are affordable and very good, especially for the money.

No, they were making an Edwin DeLarosa frame too. I'll try to find the thread; I think it was going to have no brake mounts or guides since he rides brakeless.

Yeah, that looks pretty sick. I wonder what it's made of and how much it weighs...
EDIT: Don't be smart and say chromoly.

It's made of recycled 9mm shells, and it has magnets in the headtube to make your barspins spin faster. They're also releasing a new line of pegs that automatically grind anything you want, you just have to look at it.

That would still be chromoly. I was wondering about how the frame is designed to be made stronger, what Fit did to the chromoly to make it better.
