Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. I'm new to the bikeforum. I am old AND old-school. I never really stopped biking, but the intensity of it has waxed and waned for me over the years. I am here mostly for technical advice, because I love to wrench. A bike on the stand, kids asleep upstairs, a Vancouver Canucks game on the radio and the hum of the washing machine and warmth of the dryer taking the stink out of my riding tee shirts. Heaven!

Consider working through a local bike group to find kids who can't afford to get their bikes fixed. All your costs might be a write-off.

A bike on the stand, kids asleep upstairs...
Old??? I'm not familiar with that word. What does it mean? You can't be old if you have kids asleep upstairs. ;)

Absolutely. My kid is getting ready to hit grad school and I don't feel old. At least today I don't. Yesterday, well, that's a different story. I was ready for a walker yesterday.

But welcome omotal. Your love of wrenching will keep you in the game. It does for me.

Old?

You must be about 80, because I am 66yo and I am young! :D
