The 9th of July is going to be a pretty exciting game and hopefully a day of joy lol just like yesterday, I could have cared less about Indepence Day, Germany-Italy was the highlight of the day and oh boy what a match, Italy is such a great team and Fabio Grosso's goal at 119' was just too great emotionally and too heartbreaking for the germans I guess, though Italy they deserves this World Cup.

Who else is cancelling all their riding activies on both Saturday and Sunday to watch the two most exciting games of the biggest tournament of the biggest and best sport in the world (besides mountain biking of course), I'm getting my bike back for the weekend but I won't ride it :) I just have to watch these games and celebrate/mourn accordingly.

Man, I'm so psyched about it, Italy rules.

Anyone else here a football fan? (soccer as its called in the United States, who by the way played great against Italy)

Sorry if its off topic but hey, I bet there must be quite a few football lovers here (unless this forum's users are mostly USA and Canadians)

Call me what you wish, football is the best sport in the world and I feel sorry for people who don't feel the passion football fans feel when they watch their teams play.

But yeah, this is very off topic but I just had to say something :p

Its soccer.

Football is a subjective term used by every country for thier main code. I call rugby football too, buts its still rugby, same with aussie rules.

Soccer players are the biggest drama queens in the world, each time they get tripped they act like they were attacked by a yeti.

I watched from the Italy/Germany game from like the 85 minute to the 105 minute, got bored and went in the pool.

Italy-Germany has been the most exciting match I've seen yet and I've watched every World Cup game, I can see why you feel like that though, when I catch a baseball/basketball/rugby/a.football game on TV, I get bored right away.

And its not very often you see goals at the 119 and 121+ minutes.

By the way, it IS football... the term soccer is only used in North America and perhaps Australia? England invented football and they call it football so there.

I agree, it's tough to enjoy watching a sport where acting like a complete pansy gives you a tactical advantage.

No, it's in the Foo forum. Just be patient.

I know almost nothing about soccer, but I think this clip (http://www.collegehumor.com/movies/1694861/) is pretty cool - lots of stylie moves.
